Keep in mind the low speed on the NA FPCU is 8v compared to 6v for the TT setup. So it will run at a higher speed and make more noise at idle and low load simply because it's running a higher voltage than a comparable TT setup in those situations. I think it's obvious that running at a higher voltage will affect the longevity of the pump. But considering the NA and TT pumps are physically so similar and the NA pump doesn't have a short life span running on those conditions, I don't think the affect on the lifespan of the TT pump would be affected enough to put it outside the normal expected lifespan range. I've never heard of a fuel pump failing prematurely because of this, or even from running at 12v constantly. I know it's possible, but it seems extremely uncommon so far! That said, don't take this to mean I think it's a bad idea to do a like-stock conversion. If anything, I applaud you for it. It's just more work than its worth to me ;)
